Discover Oro Valley’s Featured Youth Artist of February 2018

February’s Featured Artists at the Council Chambers: Spotlight on Youth Art

This February, the Council Chambers in Oro Valley is showcasing some incredible talent from our local schools. The spotlight is on youth art, featuring a wonderful variety of projects created by students under the guidance of their dedicated teachers.

The students from Wilson K-8 Middle School have been busy crafting some imaginative “Middle School Projects” using mixed media under the mentorship of their teacher, Katrina Fengler. Their creative efforts are sure to impress anyone who visits.

At Immaculate Heart Middle School, Sue Duffy’s students have been focusing on mastering “Two Point Perspective” with pencil on paper. Their works display a keen eye for detail and perspective, revealing the budding artists’ potential.

Copper Creek Elementary School is presenting “Selected Works” from various students. Thanks to teacher Lynda McCoy’s encouragement, the young artists have explored mixed media to express their unique visions.

Finally, Leman Academy for Excellence rounds out the exhibit with their own “Selected Works” in mixed media. Teacher Jill Coulter has inspired her students to explore different textures and techniques, resulting in some truly impressive pieces.

Be sure to stop by the Council Chambers to enjoy this delightful collection of youth art and support our local young artists!
