Stacks Book Club Opens in Oro Valley Marketplace

Dreams do come true, and Crispin and Lizzy Jeffrey-Franco have made theirs a reality right here in Oro Valley. Last weekend, they flung open the doors to Stacks Book Club, nestled in the Oro Valley Marketplace at 1880 E. Tangerine Road Suite 140. It’s a cozy haven where locals can gather over good books, tasty brews, and great company.

Your Spot for Books and Brews

Stacks Book Club, co-owned by the dynamic Jeffrey-Franco duo, is a treasure trove of books and beverages. Whether you’re into fiction, non-fiction, or children’s literature, there’s something for everyone. Plus, you’ll love their coffee bar, featuring Yellow Brick Coffee, and pastries from local favorites like Bubbe’s Bagels and Cal’s Bakeshop. If a glass of wine or a local beer is more your style, they’ve got you covered too. They even offer grab-and-go bites from Flora’s Market Run. The club is perfect for book discussions or just a casual catch-up with friends.

Bringing the Community Together

One of the highlights is their children’s area, which hosts bilingual storytelling events. It’s part of Crispin’s vision to make Stacks a hub of community activity. From its roots as a humble book club back in 2016, inspired by “Ready Player One,” to this inviting venue today, Stacks has always been about bringing people together.

From Vision to Reality

Opening Stacks book club was no easy task for the Jeffrey-Francos. It all started with a simple email to friends, blossoming into a thriving book club and eventually leading to this incredible space. After moving back to Tucson in 2019, they worked tirelessly, hosting pop-up events and gaining vital community support. With help from Startup Tucson, they secured an SBA-guaranteed loan, and after months of planning and renovations, Stacks Book Club came to life.

A Touch of Tucson

Inside Stacks, you’ll find a delightful nod to Tucson’s spirit. From locally made pastries to unique gifts like cards, candles, and T-shirts, every item tells a story of community and creativity. By supporting local businesses, Stacks Book Club ensures that every visit helps keep Tucson vibrant and thriving.
