Shape Oro Valley’s Parks & Recreation Future Today!

Residents Invited to Shape Oro Valley’s Parks and Recreation Future

Living in Oro Valley offers plenty of opportunities to connect with our beautiful parks, trails, and community spaces. Now, the Town’s Parks and Recreation Department wants your input to help shape the future of these vital areas.

As part of the strategic plan for 2019/20 and 20/21, the Town Council has initiated a community-wide needs assessment. This effort is funded by the 2019/20 budget and aims to gather ideas from residents for a comprehensive Parks and Recreation Master Plan.

The final report, expected in Spring 2020, will inform a detailed Master Plan. This plan will outline strategies for funding, program development, and partnerships. While the Council has decided to keep 36 holes of golf, your feedback will guide the conceptual plans for Naranja Park, James D. Kriegh Park, Riverfront Park, Steam Pump Ranch, and the Community Center.
