Mayor Joe Winfield highlighted the importance of this process during the annual State of the Town Address. He emphasized that this community-based plan turns our collective vision into reality, serving as a playbook for the next decade. Mayor Winfield invites everyone to participate and help plan what’s next for Oro Valley.
The last time this process was undertaken was back in 2016 with the “Your Voice, Our Future” Plan. The town has been hard at work ever since, completing, maintaining, or actively working on 96% of the outlined actions. The remaining 4% will be evaluated or prioritized within the next three years.
“The General Plan acts as our ‘true north’ because it’s shaped by the citizens,” Mayor Winfield noted. “We’re building on our past successes to drive us into the next decade.”
