Hello, Oro Valley! Our town is excited to celebrate Parks and Recreation Month this July. Parks and recreational spaces are vital to our community, providing not just a fun place to play, but also promoting health and wellness for everyone. Spending time in our parks can boost your physical and mental health, helping to improve well-being and alleviate issues like depression and attention deficit disorders.
When you visit our parks, you’re not just enjoying the great outdoors. You’re engaging in physical activities that can keep you fit and active. Whether it’s sports, hiking, or swimming, there’s something for everyone. Plus, these spaces are great for economic prosperity. They help increase property values, expand our local tax base, boost tourism, and even help reduce crime.

Mayor Joe Winfield has officially proclaimed July 2024 as Parks and Recreation Month in Oro Valley. He encourages all residents to take advantage of the many parks we have here and across the country.
