Oro Valley Spruces Up Oracle Road: Lane Closures Ahead
Starting May 22, the Town of Oro Valley Street Operations team will be tidying up the medians along Oracle Road (State Route 77). They’ll be working from Ina Road all the way to milepost 84, just a bit north of Big Wash Overlook Place, with plans to wrap up by May 26.
Throughout this period, you’ll notice that the northbound left lane will be closed in sections every day from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. as crews make their way up the road. Keep an eye out for construction signs, arrows, and message boards guiding you through the area. Remember to drive cautiously while they’re at work. Outside of these hours, all northbound lanes will be open.
The team is tackling a variety of tasks, including tree trimming, weed control, and removing dead plants and trash. They’ll also be raking to ensure the medians look their best. While Oracle Road is a state route under the Arizona Department of Transportation’s (ADOT) management, Oro Valley has been handling the median landscaping since 2010 through an agreement with ADOT.
We appreciate your understanding and focus on safety as the town works to keep Oracle Road looking beautiful for everyone.
