Oro Valley Streamlines: Community Dept. Goes Paperless

Oro Valley Goes Paperless for Permits and More!

In a move to streamline services and stay safe, the Town of Oro Valley’s Community & Economic Development Department (CED) has gone fully digital with its submissions. This no-paper policy kicked off to enhance efficiency and reduce handling during the COVID-19 pandemic.

CED Director J.J. Johnston shared, “We’ve been offering electronic submissions since 2018, and it really makes things easier and faster for everyone. Now, people can skip the trip to Town Hall and get their approvals right in their inbox.”

From now on, all requests will be processed electronically. Paper submissions are a thing of the past, except in special cases. Everything, from permits to inspection cards, will be sent via email, with plans available in PDF format. If you still want to meet with the CED team, don’t worry—they’re available for appointments.

For submitting your requests, simply email:
– For building and grading permits: [[email protected]](mailto:[email protected])
– For new development site plans: [[email protected]](mailto:[email protected])
– For right-of-way permits: [[email protected]](mailto:[email protected])

Johnston also extended gratitude to the local builders and construction community for their patience and support during this transition to digital submissions.

If you need more information, feel free to reach out to the CED at 520-229-4800.
