Oro Valley Supports Diaper Need Awareness 2024

Oro Valley Shines a Light on Diaper Need Awareness Week

It’s time for Oro Valley to rally together for a great cause. From September 23rd through 29th, 2024, we’ll be observing Diaper Need Awareness Week. This special week highlights a crucial issue many families face: not having enough clean diapers to keep their little ones healthy and happy.

Research shows nearly half of families in the U.S. struggle with this necessity. A lack of diapers not only affects the well-being of our youngest residents but also impacts parents’ ability to work, as childcare centers often require families to supply their own diapers. It’s a problem that forces many parents to skip workdays, creating a ripple effect on the family’s economic stability.

Thankfully, community organizations like the Arizona Diaper Bank are stepping up to help. They distribute diapers to families in need, making a real difference in people’s lives. Oro Valley recognizes the significance of this issue, understanding that addressing diaper need supports children’s health and creates more opportunities for families.

Mayor Joseph C. Winfield has officially declared this week Diaper Need Awareness Week in our town. He urges everyone in Oro Valley to support local diaper banks, drives, and other related organizations. Your generous donations can help ensure that all families have access to the basic necessities required for their children to thrive.

Let’s work together to bolster the health and prosperity of our community. Consider making a donation or volunteering your time to help distribute diapers to those who need them most.
