Oro Valley Introduces Handy New Water Utility Portal
Great news for Oro Valley residents! The Town’s Water Utility has rolled out a brand-new customer service portal and billing system, making it easier than ever to manage your water and stormwater utility accounts. Whether you’re at home or on the go, you can now pay bills, check your consumption, and manage your account from your computer or mobile device.
To join in, you’ll need to set up a new account. Grab your latest bill—your payment amount will serve as your registration code. If you can’t find your bill, just give the Water Utility a call, and they’ll help get you sorted.
The first time you log in, the system will guide you through the portal, showing you around the dashboard and highlighting where to find forms, payment options, and contact details. It will also automatically pull in your existing contact details like your name and email.
Payment is now a breeze with options like credit card, e-check, Amazon Pay, and Apple Pay. If you were using autopay in the old system, no worries—you won’t need to set that up again. Just remember, the old online payment system is no longer available as of August 26. But don’t fret, you can still pay by phone, mail, or in person.
Through the new portal, you’ll have your account info, statements, payment history, and water use at your fingertips. Plus, you can fill out and submit forms online, such as requests for leak adjustments or water service orders.
Important Note: The new portal is separate from WaterSmart, which helps track water use and set leak alerts. WaterSmart remains unchanged.
Billing Cycle Updates
Here’s a heads up: billing cycle dates are changing too. Expect your new bill around the 7th of each month, and it’ll be due by the 28th. The first bill using this new system will arrive the week of September 12.
To help everyone adjust, no late fees or water shutoffs will occur in September and October. Regular policies will kick back in starting November 1, 2022. If you have questions, call the Water Utility at 520-229-5000 or email them at [email protected].
