Local Students Shine in December Art Showcase
This December, Oro Valley is proud to feature the artistic talents of students from six local schools. Young artists, guided by their dedicated teachers, have their works on display, showcasing creativity and passion in every piece.
Ironwood High School
Under the guidance of teacher Danielle Rutherford, students like Kara Bartell, Faith Linehan, and Noah Erickson have created outstanding pieces. Their artwork reflects the vibrant creativity of Ironwood’s talented students.
Innovation Academy
Melissa Samsel and her students have put together an impressive collection. Artists such as Zoe Larsen, Abigail Barrett, and Max Gheiler have contributed to this colorful showcase. It’s a testament to the innovative spirit of this school’s young artists.
Sunshine Preschool
Led by Brenda Sepulveda, all 56 children at Sunshine Preschool have created a delightful “Andy Warhol Inspired Christmas Tree.” The collaborative effort by these young artists brings a festive touch to the showcase.
Immaculate Heart High School
William Lewis has inspired students like Emily Haynes and Cindy Nguyen to produce remarkable works. The talent at Immaculate Heart is evident, with students putting their heart into each piece.
Pusch Ridge Christian Academy
Camille Pechin’s students, including Isabelle Torres and Nick Wambach, have produced works that stand out for their creativity and skill. Hope Powers and Elma Lohrman also contributed to this impressive collection.
Painted Sky Elementary
Sara Wilson’s students have been inspired by Mexican art, creating vibrant panels filled with life and color. Artists like Aniyah, Erin, and Lily have made their mark, showcasing the beauty of diverse cultural art forms.
