Oro Valley Stormwater Utility Commission Seeks New Volunteer
Hey Oro Valley residents! Here’s a chance to make a difference in our community. The Town of Oro Valley needs a volunteer to fill an open position on the Stormwater Utility Commission (SWUC). This is a great opportunity for anyone who calls Oro Valley home and wants to get involved.
The commission has one spot available, with a commitment of two years. As a member, you’d help advise the Town Council on various important issues. These include flood control, managing stormwater quality, and even discussing bonds for stormwater projects. The SWUC meets every month on the third Thursday at 4 p.m. Right now, meetings are online via Zoom due to COVID-19.
If you’re interested in joining, reach out to the Town Clerk’s Office at 520-229-4700. You can also visit the Boards and Commissions Opportunities webpage to apply online. It’s a simple way to get started: Apply for a Board or Commission.
