Stay Ready for the Monsoon Season, Oro Valley!
Monsoon season officially kicks off on June 15 in Southern Arizona, and the Town of Oro Valley wants to ensure you’re well-prepared. Starting today, residents can grab free sandbags to help protect their homes from storm runoff.
These sandbags are available throughout the 2022 monsoon season or until supplies run out. Remember, this offer is specifically for Oro Valley residents, and it’s a self-service operation. The town provides the bags and sand, but you’ll need to bring your own shovel to fill and load them. There’s a limit of 10 sandbags per vehicle.
Where to Pick Up Your Sandbags:
– Naranja Park: 810 W. Naranja Drive
Head to the “Christmas tree recycling lot,” which is just north of the archery range. Look out for the signs guiding you there.
If you need assistance, you can make an appointment with Town Staff to get pre-bagged sand. For appointments or any questions, contact the Stormwater Utility staff at 520-229-4850 or email [[email protected]](mailto:[email protected]).
A Note From Your Oro Valley Stormwater Utility:
