Oro Valley Welcomes New Town Manager

In an exciting development for Oro Valley, the Town Council has chosen Jeff Wilkins as the new town manager. With nearly three decades of experience in local government across Illinois, Michigan, Indiana, and Ohio, Jeff is set to bring his expertise to our community. He will officially take on the role by July 1, 2023, with the exact start date to be announced soon.

Jeff Wilkins also shared his thoughts on the appointment: “I am honored to be selected by the Town Council. Oro Valley is a community of excellence, and everyone I’ve met has been incredibly welcoming. I look forward to working with the Town Council, staff, and residents to keep Oro Valley a fantastic place to live, work, and play.”

The search for a new town manager began back in September 2022 with the help of consulting firm Ralph Andersen & Associates. This followed the departure of former Town Manager Mary Jacobs. During the interim, Chris Cornelison stepped up as the acting town manager. He will return to his role as deputy town manager once Jeff Wilkins starts his tenure.
