Oro Valley folks, you did it! Nearly 9,000 of you shared your thoughts and ideas to help lay the groundwork for our community’s upcoming 10-year action plan. Your input is crucial in steering Oro Valley’s Path Forward. Remember, your voice is still key to our journey!
We’ve gathered your feedback on what makes Oro Valley special and used it to draft our vision and principles for the future. These guiding ideas will shape our plan and bring about real change in our community. It’s essential that the draft vision mirrors what most of you have shared through surveys, online chats, and various events over the past nine months.
Draft Vision for Oro Valley
Our vision is for Oro Valley to be a place where all residents enjoy more services, amenities, and high-quality living opportunities. We aim to meet the community’s hopes through planned and thoughtful improvements. We’ll keep Oro Valley’s unique charm by focusing on public safety, natural beauty, scenic views, outdoor living, and a strong sense of community.
Now, we need you to help “verify that the vision represents OV residents.” Join the Wordsmith Challenge and see if you can come up with better ways to express what our community desires. Are there any important values missing that residents have voiced?
All Oro Valley residents are welcome to join the Wordsmith Challenge at OVPathForward.com. If your ideas align with the majority’s views, they might be included in the draft vision and principles presented to Town Council in December. Be sure to register on OVPathForward.com and submit your thoughts by September 30. Plus, every submission gets a chance to win an OV Path Forward swag bag!

The draft vision and principles are only the start. Beginning in January, resident working groups will dive deeper into crafting our community’s action plan.
