Oro Valley Roadwork Starts Oct. 18: Key Routes Affected

Oro Valley’s Road Maintenance Continues with Second Phase

Starting Tuesday, October 18, the Town of Oro Valley is kicking off the second phase of its Fall 2022 Pavement Preservation schedule. This phase will include fog seal treatments, which will continue throughout November from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily. Expect some traffic delays during this time.

Fog seal treatments are a great way to extend the life of our roads. By using a diluted asphalt mix, this method helps seal narrow cracks and gives the road a fresh appearance.

While the work is underway, traffic lanes will narrow, and speed limits will be reduced. You’ll see traffic flaggers on-site to help direct the flow. Make sure to slow down and follow the posted signs and directions. Message boards will be in place ahead of the construction zones to keep you informed. Once the day’s work is done, all lanes will reopen.

After the fog seal is applied, crews will move on to striping the new pavement. During this, you can expect similar lane reductions and speed limits. Again, just follow the signs and directions.

Here’s a look at the construction schedule, as long as the weather cooperates:

– Lambert Lane from La Cholla Boulevard to the town limits
– Naranja Drive from La Cañada Drive to La Cholla Boulevard
– Innovation Park Drive
– Moore Road from King Air Drive to La Cañada/roundabout
– La Cañada Drive from Maspalomas Drive to Pebble Creek Drive
– Pebble Creek Drive from La Cañada to Flicker Way
