Oro Valley residents, get ready for some helpful community events this December! The Town has announced two great initiatives: the Shred-a-thon 2021 and the Christmas tree recycling program. Both events will take place at Naranja Park, located at 810 W. Naranja Drive. Let’s dive into the details!
Shred-a-thon 2021
Join the Town of Oro Valley and AARP for a free document shredding event on Saturday, December 18. Head over to Naranja Park anytime between 8 a.m. and noon—or until the trucks are full. It’s a fantastic opportunity to safely dispose of up to five medium-sized boxes of confidential papers, helping you protect yourself from identity theft.

Christmas Tree Recycling
After the holiday cheer, make sure your Christmas tree is put to good use! The Town of Oro Valley is partnering with the Kiwanis Club for their annual tree recycling program. From December 26 to January 16, 2022, you can drop off your real Christmas trees at Naranja Park.
Just remember to remove all stands, ornaments, lights, wires, and tinsel before dropping them off. These trees will be mulched and transformed into compost, promoting sustainability in our community. If you have any questions, feel free to contact the Public Works Department at 520-229-5070 or 520-229-4850.
