Exciting Changes Coming to Oro Valley Community and Recreation Center
Big news for Oro Valley! Starting the week of January 8, 2024, work will begin on a brand-new entryway and elevator at the Community and Recreation Center (CRC).
This project will create an improved entrance to the Overlook Restaurant, the Golf Pro Shop, and other community rooms. The new entry will be built several feet lower to improve accessibility, and a new elevator will be installed nearby. If all goes as planned, everything should be ready by October 2024.
Paul Keesler, the Town’s Public Works Director, shared, “We want everyone to enjoy all the activities at the CRC, and this new elevator will really help improve the experience.”
Barker Contracting, Inc. will be leading the construction, starting with setting up fencing on January 8. During this time, the current entrance to the restaurant will be temporarily closed. But don’t worry—the Overlook Restaurant will stay open! Visitors will be redirected to the ramp by the loading dock from January 8 through September 31. Just follow the signs, and you’ll find your way—check out the map for more information.
