Oro Valley: Boost Child Support Awareness This Month

Oro Valley Celebrates Child Support Awareness Month

This August, the Town of Oro Valley is joining communities nationwide to observe Child Support Awareness Month. This is a time to reaffirm our commitment to Arizona’s families by highlighting the services that aim to boost the economic stability and well-being of our kids.

Arizona always stands as a dedicated advocate for our children, prioritizing their safety and security. Kids who receive both emotional and financial support are more likely to feel secure and confident, giving them the courage to reach their full potential.

The Department of Economic Security Division of Child Support Services (DCSS) is dedicated to putting Arizona’s children first. They serve our community with excellence, respect, integrity, and kindness. Their efforts contribute significantly to economic growth and opportunity in our state.

The DCSS is also a strong supporter of shared parenting responsibilities. They believe that children benefit most when both parents are actively involved in their lives, regardless of marital status. Child Support Awareness Month is a time to recognize those parents who spend quality time with their children and make regular child support payments to ensure a brighter future for them.

To mark this important initiative, Joseph C. Winfield, the Mayor of Oro Valley, has officially proclaimed August 2021 as Child Support Awareness Month.
