Join Oro Valley’s 50th Anniversary Celebration!

Excitement is in the air as Oro Valley celebrates its 50th anniversary! This April, join us for a series of fun-filled community events marking half a century of history, growth, and togetherness.

Mayor Joe Winfield invites everyone to be part of this milestone celebration. “Whether it’s 50 years of marriage, business, or incorporation, a 50th anniversary is something special,” he says. “April will be the highlight of our year-long celebration, and I personally invite every Oro Valley resident to join us as we create lasting memories in honor of our community’s first 50 years.”

50th Anniversary Parade: Saturday, April 6, 2024

The festivities begin with the 50th Anniversary Parade on April 6 at 9 a.m. along Naranja Drive, starting near Ironwood Ridge High School and ending at the Oro Valley Public Library. Expect to see motorized floats, vintage cars, and performances by local groups. A big thanks to our sponsors: Lisa Bayless Realtor and Proverbs Media Group.

Heads up! There will be traffic delays along Naranja Drive from 5 to 11 a.m. on parade day. Access will be blocked from Shannon Road to La Cañada Drive, so plan your route accordingly. The Oro Valley Police Department will be on hand to assist. For more details, check out the closure map and parade route here.
