Understanding the General Plan
If you’re wondering what the General Plan is all about, here’s the scoop: it’s a community-driven, 10-year roadmap that guides everything from public safety to parks and housing. Our current plan, “Your Voice, Our Future,” was a hit, with 71% of voters ratifying it in 2016. It came to life through three years of public outreach, resulting in 310 actionable items. Thanks to community involvement, 95% of those goals are either completed or in the works. Some highlights? The Parks and Recreation Master Plan, protecting our iconic large Saguaros, and more transparent town services.
