Oro Valley, Arizona (July 14, 2021) – The Arizona Department of Transportation (ADOT) has announced some exciting news for our community. Starting on the night of Sunday, July 18, 2021, road construction will kick off on State Route 77, also known as Oracle Road, stretching from Magee to Calle Concordia. This upgrade is part of a broader effort to enhance road conditions, boost safety features, and ensure ADA compliance. The work will take place in three phases, covering the area from the I-10 junction up to Calle Concordia right here in Oro Valley.
Construction is expected to last about 100 days, with completion aimed for the end of October, as long as the weather cooperates.
For those looking to dive into the nitty-gritty details, ADOT has all the project facts covered. Residents can find more information through the Town of Oro Valley’s website at orovalleyaz.gov, which provides useful links to ADOT resources.

The Arizona Department of Transportation is undertaking a major improvement project right here in our area. This project combines three different segments, running from the I-10 junction to Calle Concordia on State Route 77 (Oracle Road) in Oro Valley. The entire journey, from Interstate 10 to Miracle Mile and then from River Road to Calle Concordia, aims to enhance our roads over the next two years with Granite Construction leading the way.
We look forward to smoother, safer roads and appreciate everyone’s patience and cooperation during the construction.
