Oro Valley: Chip Seal Access Road at Naranja Park

Naranja Park Access Road Gets a Facelift

Exciting news for Naranja Park visitors! The Town of Oro Valley has announced that a contractor will be sprucing up the temporary access road between Musette Drive and the park’s multi-use fields. On March 5 and 6, from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m., Sunland Asphalt will be applying a chip seal to minimize dust and improve the road. Don’t worry, the road will stay open during this process.

The plan is simple. On Thursday, March 5, Sunland Asphalt will start with the first layer of chip seal. They’ll close half of the road at a time to keep traffic flowing. The second layer goes down on Friday, March 6, using the same method. It’s important for drivers to keep their speed below 15 MPH and to pay attention to construction signs and workers.

After the work wraps up on Friday, the contractors will tidy up the road, leaving it in great shape for everyone to enjoy.

This is all part of the exciting Naranja Park Playground project, which will bring an ‘epic’ playground to the park by late summer 2020.
