Starting April 11, drivers on Moore Road should prepare for some delays. Construction crews will be busy with an asphalt overlay project from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday through Friday. During these times, only one lane will be open between La Cholla Boulevard and King Air Drive.
With just one lane available, drivers will need to follow the guidance of construction flaggers or sometimes a pilot vehicle. The speed limit in the construction zone will be reduced to 25 mph. Expect an average delay of about 10 minutes and consider taking alternate routes if you can. If the weather cooperates, this project should wrap up by early June.
Outside of construction hours, there will be one lane open for travel in both directions. Residents living nearby will get a flyer in the mail with all the project details. Rest assured, driveways and side streets will stay open unless notified otherwise by the Town.
KE&G Construction Inc. is handling the work, which includes not just the asphalt overlay but also adding paved shoulders along Moore Road.
