Oro Valley Celebrates Education and Sharing Day

Education is a cornerstone for the success of our community, state, and country. In Oro Valley, we are committed to enriching the lives of our citizens through a strong focus on learning and sharing.

Providing excellent educational opportunities for everyone, especially our children, lights the way to a brighter future. Education builds knowledge and hope, fostering a more united and prosperous community.

Our education system doesn’t just focus on academics. It also emphasizes building character by instilling universal moral and ethical values. These values, including the Seven Noahide Laws, have supported societies since the beginning of civilization.

Rabbi Menachem Schneerson, the Lubavitcher Rebbe, was a strong advocate for integrating moral and ethical education, considering it essential for a healthy society. He believed that strong moral values should be part of our educational framework.

In light of this, Joseph C. Winfield, Mayor of Oro Valley, has proclaimed Tuesday, April 12, 2022, as Education and Sharing Day in our town. He encourages government officials, educators, volunteers, and all citizens to reach out and work towards creating a hopeful future for everyone in our community.

This proclamation was made on April 6, 2022.
