Oro Valley Rec Center Reopening Delayed To October 5

Oro Valley Rec Center Reopening Delayed to October 5

The Oro Valley Community & Recreation Center (CRC) has decided to delay its reopening until Monday, October 5. Originally set to open on September 28, the CRC chose to wait after reviewing Arizona Department of Health Services’ weekly data. With one of Pima County’s COVID-19 transmission benchmarks reaching a substantial level, the decision aims to ensure a safe and sustainable reopening, avoiding a quick closure or any spikes in cases.

The Town’s Parks and Recreation Department will keep an eye on next week’s data and will update the community on any changes to the reopening plan. To stay informed, you can sign up for weekly emails from the department here.

The Parks and Recreation Department extends its gratitude to its members for their patience during this time. Once the CRC reopens, it will follow the Arizona Department of Health Services guidelines, ensuring everyone’s safety with appropriate precautions.
