Oro Valley Community Connections: Revitalizing Local Business Networking

In 2025, Oro Valley is proud to welcome the revival of a key tradition: strengthening local business connections and community collaboration.

🔹 Rebirth of a Business Legacy

The organization once known as the Oro Valley Business Club (OVBC) was a cornerstone of the local business community , an informal but powerful network that brought together small business owners, independent professionals, and community leaders to collaborate and support each other’s growth.

Today, that spirit returns.

Revived in partnership with Oro Valley Voice, this project reclaims its place as a cornerstone of community and commerce in Oro Valley.

📰 Strengthening Oro Valley Through Local Media

This new chapter is built in collaboration with Oro Valley Voice, a community-driven publication originally founded by Gregory Lopeman. After years of print-only circulation, the Voice is now digital-first, aiming to amplify and document the entrepreneurial pulse of Oro Valley. The Voice serves as both the platform and archive for this community initiative.

Together, Oro Valley Voice and the revived business club are dedicated to supporting local entrepreneurs, fostering collaboration, and ensuring Oro Valley remains a hub of business innovation.

🤝 Why It Worked Then , and Why It Will Thrive Now

The original Oro Valley Business Club wasn’t exclusive; it was based on open, informal interactions. The focus was on meeting new people, sharing ideas, and building relationships without the pressure of formal sales pitches or business agendas.

This philosophy continues in the relaunch. The goal remains to foster genuine, collaborative relationships that make Oro Valley a thriving community where small businesses can succeed and grow.

📜 Meet the Leaders Behind the Revival

Gregory Lopeman, the founder of Oro Valley Voice and original organizer of the business club, returns to reconnect Oro Valley’s business community.

Fareed Al-Shami, a well-respected advocate for Oro Valley’s entrepreneurial landscape, joins the effort, bringing his vision and expertise to the revitalization of the club.

The Oro Valley Business Club, originally a cornerstone of local networking and collaboration, is set to relaunch in the fall of 2025. Revived in partnership with Oro Valley Voice, the club will once again bring together small business owners, independent professionals, and community leaders, fostering informal connections and mutual growth. This new chapter, built on the ethos of the original club, will serve as both an online platform and a community-driven initiative, amplifying Oro Valley’s entrepreneurial spirit and supporting local businesses through networking, collaboration, and shared opportunities.

📍 The New Home for Oro Valley’s Business Community

Today, the revived Oro Valley Business Club lives both online and in-person. It resides within the Business section of Oro Valley Voice, creating an accessible and dynamic space for Oro Valley’s local entrepreneurs to connect, collaborate, and grow.

Whether through virtual meetups, featured local business spotlights, or casual coffee shop discussions, this initiative serves as a platform to make meaningful connections in the community.
