Join Mayor Winfield for Oro Valley Arbor Day Tree Planting!

Celebrate Arbor Day with Oro Valley’s own Mayor Joe Winfield on Saturday, April 27, at the picturesque Steam Pump Ranch. This community event is the perfect chance to roll up your sleeves and help plant a tree alongside the mayor. Afterward, enjoy the vibrant Farmers Market with your family.

The fun kicks off at 9:30 a.m. with opening remarks by Mayor Winfield, Parks & Recreation Director Kristy Diaz-Trahan, and Parks Superintendent Tom Ellis. Don’t miss the free flower seed packets and the chance to enter the tree giveaway raffle. You don’t have to be present to win!

Following the ceremonial tree planting by Mayor Winfield at 9:45 a.m., everyone is welcome to join in the planting activities. Space is limited, so try to get there early. Stick around for the “stump the arborist” session with certified arborists Tom Ellis and James Gardner, who will share their tree pruning and care tips.

Mark your calendars for this tree-filled event at Steam Pump Ranch, 10901 N. Oracle Road, Oro Valley, AZ 85737. The celebration will wrap up around 11:30 a.m., but you can keep enjoying the Farmers Market until noon.

Don’t forget, at tonight’s Town Council meeting, Mayor Winfield will officially declare Friday, April 26, as Arbor Day, recognizing the value and beauty that trees bring to our community. Although the proclamation is on Friday, our fun-filled celebration will be on Saturday.
