Oro Valley Mayor’s First State of the Town Address Oct. 15

Oro Valley’s Mayor Joe Winfield is gearing up for his first State of the Town Address! Mark your calendars for Tuesday, October 15, and head over to the El Conquistador, a Hilton Resort right here in Oro Valley.

The event kicks off with a luncheon at 11:30 a.m., and the main remarks will start around noon. Mayor Winfield, joined by some special guests, will discuss the key focus areas outlined in the Council’s Strategic Leadership Plan. These include economic vitality, culture and recreation, public safety, infrastructure like roads and water, land use, efficient government, and town finances.

The University of Arizona is the title sponsor this year, and you’ll get to hear from UA President Dr. Bobby Robbins as a special guest speaker. The Greater Oro Valley Chamber of Commerce is hosting this annual Address and Luncheon, which also features a Business Expo starting at 10 a.m. Over 50 local businesses and organizations will be there. If you’re interested in attending, call the Chamber at 520-297-2191 for any last-minute tickets. Keep in mind, it’s a popular event, and the Business Expo booths have already sold out.

Can’t make it? No worries! You can catch a video of the Mayor’s address the following week on the Town’s website at orovalleyaz.gov or follow them on Facebook for updates.
