Get Free Sandbags: Monsoon Prep for Oro Valley Residents

Free Sandbags for Oro Valley Residents During Monsoon Season

Hey Oro Valley folks, it’s that time of year again—the monsoon season is upon us. Starting Monday, June 15, the Town of Oro Valley is offering free sandbags to help you protect your home from storm runoff. This initiative is part of the proactive efforts by the Oro Valley Stormwater Utility to manage washes and address any potential flooding issues.

You can pick up sandbags from June 15 and throughout the 2020 monsoon season. Keep in mind, supplies are limited to Oro Valley residents, and each vehicle can take a maximum of 10 sandbags. It’s a self-service setup, so be prepared to bag and load the sand yourself.

#Where to Get Your Sandbags
Head over to Naranja Park located at 810 W. Naranja Drive. Look for the signs directing you to the “Christmas tree recycling lot,” just north of the archery range.

If you need assistance, you can arrange a time to pick up pre-bagged sand. Just make an appointment with Town Staff. For appointments or any questions, reach out to Jessica Hynd, the Constituent Services Coordinator, at 520-229-4711 or email her at [[email protected]](mailto:[email protected]).
