Mark your calendars for a heartwarming event in Oro Valley! On December 10, 2019, at 2:00 p.m., the Oro Valley Police Department (OVPD) will team up with the Fraternal Order of Police Lodge 53 for their annual “Shop with OVPD” outing. This special event takes place at the Target on 10555 N. Oracle Road, where OVPD joins Town Council members and staff to shop with local students.
Teachers and school counselors pick the children who could really use some extra support this season. It’s a wonderful way for the community to come together and make a difference.
Adding to the holiday cheer, the Greater Oro Valley Chamber of Commerce is stepping in with a generous $450 donation to help cover the costs. A Chamber representative shared, “Every year, our Chamber supports Shop with OVPD, and we’re so grateful for the opportunity. The holidays are about giving, and the business community we represent enjoys doing our little part to help those in need.”
It’s events like these that highlight the true spirit of the season and the caring nature of our community.
