Celebrating Our Municipal Clerks: May 1-7, 2022
Hey Oro Valley! It’s time to shine a spotlight on some of our community’s unsung heroes during the 53rd Annual Professional Municipal Clerks Week, running from May 1st to May 7th.
The Office of the Professional Municipal Clerk has a rich history, being one of the oldest roles in public service. These dedicated individuals serve as a vital link between citizens, local government bodies, and other government agencies. Their commitment to neutrality and impartiality ensures that everyone in our community receives equal service.
Municipal Clerks are our go-to sources for information on how local government functions. They continually seek to improve their skills and knowledge by participating in educational programs, seminars, workshops, and meetings with the Arizona Municipal Clerks Association (AMCA). This dedication helps them better serve all of us here in Oro Valley.
Our Mayor, Joseph C. Winfield, would like to formally recognize the hard work and dedication of Michael Standish, our Professional Municipal Clerk, and all clerks who work tirelessly to support our community. Their efforts are vital, and this week is the perfect time to extend our appreciation for everything they do.
