Hardy Road Closure for Carmack Wash Upgrade: March 27-31

Hardy Road Construction Scheduled for March 27-31

Hey Oro Valley residents! Heads up about some road work happening soon. From March 27 to 31, Hardy Road will undergo some much-needed improvements, specifically between the Northern Avenue roundabout and Calle Loma Linda. This is all about tackling erosion issues caused by stormwater, especially in the low-flow crossing area of Carmack Wash.

What You Need to Know

During those days, Hardy Road will be closed from 6:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. While construction is on, you’ll need to find alternative routes. But don’t worry—once the workday wraps up, the road will be open again in both directions, and the speed limit remains unchanged. Just be extra cautious and keep an eye on the traffic signs.

Why the Work is Important

The stormwater runoff has been nibbling away at the pavement edges, and we all know how that can be a hassle. To fix this, construction crews will use concrete cutoff walls and create a drainage swale. This will help guide the water away and make future maintenance a breeze, just in time for the monsoon season.

A big thank you for your patience as these improvements take place! If you have any questions, feel free to reach out to the Public Works Department at 520-229-4850 or shoot an email to [[email protected]](mailto:[email protected]).
