Recycle Your Tree in OV: Program Starts Dec. 26

Oro Valley’s Annual Tree Recycling Program Returns

Good news, Oro Valley! Our beloved annual tree recycling program is back, thanks to a wonderful partnership with the Kiwanis Club. It’s the perfect way to give your Christmas tree a new life after the holiday season.

Starting December 26, 2024, and running through January 15, 2025, you can drop off your real Christmas trees every day during daylight hours. The drop-off spot is conveniently located at 9451 N. Egleston Drive, just a bit north of James D. Kriegh Park. To get there, be sure to use Linda Vista Blvd., as Calle Concordia won’t give you access.

Before you bring your tree over, make sure it’s free of all decorations. That means no stand, ornaments, lights, tinsel, or wires. Once dropped off, your tree will be transformed into mulch for composting, helping our community and the environment.

Friendly volunteers from the Kiwanis Club will be there daily from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. to help you unload and stack your tree. If you’d like to support the Kiwanis Club’s great community work, they’ll have a donation box on site.

Got questions? Feel free to reach out to the Town of Oro Valley Public Works Department at 520-229-4850 for more details.
