Get Involved in Oro Valley: Join a Board or Commission
Residents of Oro Valley, here’s your chance to make a difference! The town is looking for locals to join its boards and commissions. It’s a great way to participate in local government and contribute to our vibrant community.
If you’re interested, you must be an Oro Valley resident, able to attend meetings, and complete the Town’s Community Academy during your term. To learn more about the application process, head over to the Town’s website here. Positions will stay open until they’re filled.

Here are the boards and commissions currently seeking members:
Historic Preservation Commission
Looking to preserve our town’s rich history? The Historic Preservation Commission (HPC) has two openings for three-year terms. The HPC works to protect and promote our historic buildings and artifacts. They meet on the first Monday of every month at 5 p.m.
Parks and Recreation Advisory Board
For those passionate about parks and outdoor spaces, the Parks and Recreation Advisory Board (PRAB) has two positions available. Members serve two-year terms and advise on park design and trail use. Meetings are held at least four times a year at 6 p.m.
Stormwater Utility Commission
Join the Stormwater Utility Commission (SWUC) if you’re interested in flood control and stormwater management. There are two open positions with two-year terms. The commission meets on the third Thursday of every month at 4 p.m.
Water Utility Commission
The Water Utility Commission (WUC) is seeking two members for three-year terms. They advise on water policies, rates, and conservation. Meetings occur on the second Monday of each month at 5 p.m.
