After six flavorful years, Wok Fire & Grill—a beloved fast-casual spot just a 20-minute drive from Oro Valley—announced it will close permanently on Sunday, April 27. Located at 1135 N. Park Ave., at the corner of Park Avenue and Speedway Boulevard, the restaurant became a go-to for Oro Valley families, UA students living in Oro Valley neighborhoods, and anyone craving quick, savory wok-style dishes since it opened in 2018.
In a heartfelt farewell posted on social media, the owners thanked “our extended family” of patrons for their unwavering support. “After six incredible years, Wok Fire & Grill will be closing its doors—but not without first expressing just how much your support has meant to us. You weren’t just customers—you became part of our extended family,” the statement read. Though no specific reason was given for the closure, the owners emphasized that the loyalty of diners from Oro Valley and beyond “gave life to our small restaurant” and “is the reason we were able to keep going all these years.”

The restaurant wasn’t just a lunch stop—it became a lively gathering place for Oro Valley residents who made the trip to campus, including members of the Vietnamese Student Association whose families often live in Oro Valley and along the Flowing Wells corridor. Fundraisers, student group meetups, and community events frequently brought together Tucson and Oro Valley communities under one roof.
Over its six‐year run, Wok Fire & Grill shared in countless milestones—from birthday celebrations and graduation lunches to weeknight study breaks. “You let us be a part of your everyday moments and your milestones, and we’ll never forget that,” the owners reflected, noting how deeply the restaurant had woven itself into the lives of local diners.
