— In the Town of Oro Valley, road maintenance will take place over two days on various sections of Shannon Road and Lambert Lane, beginning Thursday, April 24, 2025. Crews will return on Monday, April 28, to complete the painting work.
This project will include three adjacent work zones and is expected to create significant traffic impacts. The work entails roadway surface treatments and striping aimed at enhancing safety. Please note that the schedule may change due to weather conditions.
While Town staff and contractors will strive to minimize disruptions during peak school and commuter hours, drivers are strongly advised to take alternate routes whenever possible. There will be substantial lane restrictions in effect on both days in the affected areas. To help manage traffic flow, the Oro Valley Police Department and traffic control crews will be present at key intersections.
Traffic impacts:
Traffic control measures will be in effect, especially near Ironwood Ridge High School.
Expect lane restrictions in both directions, with significant delays likely. For further details, see *new traffic pattern below.
And here’s some good news!
⚠️*New Traffic Pattern: As a part of the Lambert Ln. to La Cholla Blvd. project, the east-westbound pavement markings at the Lambert/La Cholla intersection will be updated to include a newly dedicated right-turn lane. This enhancement aims to improve traffic flow and lessen backups.
