As July kicks off, Oro Valley is buzzing with excitement. The nights seem brighter, and our hearts are ready to sync with the festive fireworks that will soon light up our desert skies. Yes, the Fourth of July is just around the corner—a day rich in history and brimming with a sense of unity that brings us together as a community, as Arizonians, and as proud Americans.
Oro Valley: A Desert Paradise Through Song
Oro Valley is home to a fantastic trail system that’s a hit with hikers, bikers, runners, and outdoor enthusiasts alike. In May, The Chuck Huckelberry Loop got a little longer with a new half-mile multi-use path. This addition aims to boost safety and enjoyment for everyone. Positioned just north of the Oro Valley Hospital, it connects seamlessly to Rancho Vistoso Boulevard. Before this, cyclists had to brave unpaved stretches and share roads with cars while navigating Big Wash. Now, with this smooth, freshly paved path, both walkers and cyclists have a safer and nicer route.
